I own a pre-owned auto dealership that sells hybrids and other alternative energy vehicles. I make frequent craigslist postings, in the appropriate (dealer) section.
There was recently an incident for a period of multiple weeks where the ads for one vehicle I had posted (Ford Escape Hybrid) kept getting flagged. There was a dealer in Rochester advertising on Buffalo Craigslist with the same vehicle same options similar mileage, he lowered his price to my exact price, I presume he was the one repeatedly flagging my ads. The vehicle has since sold, and I haven’t had any other flagging issues, however it seems to have turned my account “ghost.” I can see my ads when I click the link after making them, however they don’t show up on craigslist otherwise, nor in a search.
I cleared my cache and started a different account, however I did a bit of reading on cragslist’s flagging policies and I’m worried my IP will be targeted as well.
I’m not spam, my ads are legit, how do I keep craigslist reliable for me?
