I just called my buddy who lives on Emery on the other side of Center and he said that she used to, and possibly still does, hack up the horses and sell the meat to some company in Elma. lol

Backyard horse slaughter does happen illegally in Florida… I wouldn’t put it past someone doing it up here, too. But that’s not mentioned in the article and could just be a crazy rumor. I hope it is. 
All personal feelings about horse abuse and consumption of horse meat aside, much of the reason why horse meat shouldn’t be used in pet food or human food has much to do with vaccines and medications for horses. The same goes for ANY farm animal that receives these things. That’s why at the farm store when buying bulk vaccinations for cows etc they say “SAFE FOR MEAT ANIMALS” etc on them.

Fuck East Aurora!!! No but really its a good town but the people in general seem a bit sheltered. Most of them anyway but it is really a good little town. As for the horse lady wtf was she thinking?!? Couldnt have been cheap to feed those horses as for the filth. If she was by herself how did anyone expect her to keep a stable with 70 horses clean?
But on a side note does anyone have here number because I have some great post WW2 salami recipes that include horse meat in the mix. Just sayin 
my mother trains horses for a living, and lives up the street on center. she told me about what was going on a few days ago, and it’s been going on for years and years… all the horses she bought were big $$ grand champions. she bred a ton of those on the property as she has two stallions to the best of her knowledge and never registered any of the offspring, so they’re worthless as far as breeding lines are concerned. that and the fact they are underdeveloped and ruined. she has pastures on the back of her property with fly sheets up along the fence so you can’t see the horses and how malnourished they are. it doesn’t make sense… she’s got money, why not feed them!!!
