unbelievable.
When are people going to stop filming shit vertically?
My buddy was a responding officer to this, I talked to him today and he said it was nothing short of a complete disaster.
Jesus.
Holy helplessness! This accident may be why our highways have been shutdown.
a firework truck exploded
Doesn’t surprise me. They are terrible out here with handling snow on the highways. The barely salt and just let it pack down into ice.
if you are in a situation like this what do you do?
you cant stay in your car but you are also at risk if you try and run… what if you have kids in the car???
this shit is bonkers
Squeeeeeze your cheeks.
Dude in the black car at the beginning was the smartest imo, put himself right in the ditch, farthest away from the wreckage.
So why not go try to warn people rather then film? Either way crazy
Not sure there’s a good answer here. Want to help people, yes. Tractors and cars barreling in at highway speeds, well?
Yeah there was the 150 car pile up on I-94 and a 50 car pile up on I-23. Michigan plow and salt trucks are not nearly as responsive as Buffalo.
if this were russia there would be a LOT of dash cam footage to go through
WTH!
Instead of recording he should have gone back down the higway and tried flagging or waving people down.
I dont, I dont think I could just stand there and watch…UGH thats terrible. Especially hearing kids screaming

Anyone die?
While I think the government officials went a little bonkers locally last week/this weekend with the road closures, I do think that they might have prevented something like this happening on a local roadway.
I was out running some errands on Saturday and the most accidents I saw were cars that hit patches of blowing snow across the road and lost it. Worst spots I came across were the on ramps for the 400 and 90 right where the 2 intersect. Cars were going way too fast around the turn getting on the 400, hit the patch of blowing snow and had no chance to respond. When I went through, there were 3 cars off on both sides of the road. It was clear they were going too fast. I also had a car that was tailgating me around the curve. I kind of wished I hadn’t been there to slow him down.
Also, I find it comical that the governor is the who actually makes the call to close down local highways from his home/office on the other side of the state. That just tells me that EC exec. Mark Polancarz is wrapped around his finger to the point that he gave up his power to control that to the governor. I guess that might have something to do with the state run weather system they are pushing…
Dashcam from the one semi that managed to stop in the above video:
So… is the time on the dash cam off, or is this from 2012?
It’s off. Watch both videos and you’ll see they’re of the same incident.
You run. Take a look up the highway and if there aren’t any cars coming you get the hell out of your car and get behind the closest barrier or immovable object. Worst case try to get to the front of the pileup because as you saw in the video even a speeding tractor trailer doesn’t move a stopped tractor trailer very far.
