I am sick of hearing about how the refs cost them the game. All you hear on espn is how there were some really bad calls. In seatle people were complaining big time, someone had a sign up that said Refs 21 Seatle 10.
Hasslebecks penalty was bull
Ben had that TD, barely but still a TD
That was a Pushoff…not a bad one but good enough to be called in a superbowl
That was holding on that TD…you can put people in choke holds and get away with it
If their recievers could catch the ball with both feet in then they might have had a better chance
the TD…i think the ball crossed the plane…BUT some did not so it gets reviewed…rules are that if the reviewing ref cannot tell he has to go with the call on the field.
most other sport dont have instant replay & go with the call on the field/court
so i don’t see the problem
as far as the pushoff…that interference, just like in basketball its a foul…Period
and add to it that the guy did it right in front of a ref.
its not like he was discreet about it.
That pushoff is iffy from an officials point of view. You can’t really argue with that call b/c he defenately gained an advantage from it, but its not called that tight all year. If your going to make that call, make it all year. If that official has been making that call all year then I dont have 1 problem with that.
That hold on Haggans, well, to be 100% honest, that wasn’t a hold. That was a gift, that is almost NEVER called.
Then again, on the 1st interception that Ben threw, the guy only had 1 foot down and then his back landed out of bounds. I believe (and im not 100% sure on NFL rules as they relate to college which im more familiar with) that he should have been ruled out of bounds. So thats a gift to Seattle there.
Seattle did beat themselves. They gave the NFL MVP only 20 carries in the biggest game of the year. That doesn’t make much sense. We made the plays, they didn’t. It’s really that simple.
No game is ever going to be officiated perfectly, we overcame the mistake in Indy, if they were the best team they would have been able to overcome any mistakes they may have seen as well.
So now it starts. I guess it’s the ref’s fault that Holmgren can’t manage the clock at the end of a half to save his life. Even the half brain dead Madden was wondering why they were lackadaisical in the last 10 minutes. It’s the refs fault that the Seahawks dropped passes. It’s the ref’s fault they missed field goals INDOORS.
What ever. I’m far from someone who is blinded by black and gold, but don’t act like Seattle was robbed. They had their chances and couldn’t do anything.
:jerkit:
I never said they were robbed there were alot of bad plays… lots of dropped passes… And bad calls … But I’m tired of hearing Steelers fans bitch and moan about whats being said against the Steelers… Honestly I don’t like either team and I would have much rather seen Seatle win but shit happens - people need to just stop being fucking emo - -
