CTS-V Goes 7:59:32

GM just ran the V for its offical time around the ring with John Heinricy driving for an impressive time under 8:00 Is the CTS V the fastest Sedan ever? I guess its official. http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/hot_lists/car_shopping/latest_news_reviews/2009_cadillac_cts_v_outruns_the_bmw_m3_and_m5_at_the_ring_car_news

I think I am in love with this car.

Here is a link of the vid: http://cadillac.gmblogs.com/ It was the automatic version too!

GM haters chime in.

But what if the GT-R had 2 more doors?

I like that they are making it turn as well as go fast in a straight line. Thats what makes the current one fun.
Did you see my post about Summit Point?

That thing scoots!!! Love those wheel close-ups too.

hot

drooooooooooooooooool

Heinricy has got to love his job.

hawtness

well, that’s really impressive for a big heavy caddy.

I like that they are breaking away from alot of the old stigma…

Funny you say that… Nissan has been looking into making one for Infinity;

I wonder if porsche might be building a sedan?

very nice

that porche sedan looks hot!

meh…

heh bump

was talking with a co-worker today that got a chance to drive this beast recently. He told me that they set a record with this car @ the ring, must of missed this post.

I wonder when they’ll hit dealerships… I really want to test drive one, he said the car is an animal… stab the throttle and you’re instantly pinned back in your seat.

“Cars will be on Dealer lots before the end of the year, probably in November.”

According to a dealer on the V forums

Now that the four-door Porsche Panamera has been thrust upon the world, it was only a matter of time before one the test drivers from Weissach brought the crown back to the fatherland. The 500-horsepower Panamera Turbo lapped the Nordschleife in 7 minutes, 56 seconds, 3 seconds faster than the Cadillac.

I am sure the new M5 will be gunning for a sub 7:50 lap

so baller in white

CTS-V is a great car

the porsche may be faster but its 100X uglier.
