my dad just got transfered so now he works 7 days a week and 7 to 4 in the morning so he hasnt had time to get the car to the track.
last year when he had the 305 with the goodies and some crappy futura (pep boy specials) tires he ran 10.1 in the 1/8th first run. then after he got used to the slick lancaster track second run was 9 something and then thru a rod.lol.
that was before the new tranny and new tires.
the other car my brother was scared to run at the track considering the car was slow.lol.

omfg, srsly?
so, you have a 3rd gen that runs high 15s.
You then decide to drop at least $3k (cheapest 350) GM crate motor in it.
Oh, better back that beast up with a tranny & slicks too… whats that another $1500?
And in the end, you’re going to have a 3rd gen that MIGHT run high 14s.
I never understood buying a 3k crate motor you can get a used LS1 for $3000…cam and bolts ons your over 400rwhp…
my dad paid 2k for the motor and a total of 1200 for the rims tires and tranny.
and my dad bought this to have a nice summer car not to pop wheelies and race people at a light.
Sometimes he likes to burn out and go to the track. my dads 50 years old a bad back and just got over cancer you think he cares, dought it.
