Not being from here I experienced it last year round this time (is this a yearly thing? ) on the same road…had no clue what “fresh oil and chips” were till I started driving on it. Took me like 2 months to get all the freaking tar spots off the Z…and the rocks out from my rims stuck w/ tar…fucking sucks. WHY in the hell do they do this here anyhow? I’ve never seen this before EVER. Where I come from down south, the just repave the roads. :spank: :bash: :fart: :jerkit: :rant:

No comment. Just please be more careful when doing these things that have a huge direct affect on our network and our users and that add unnecessary calls to our already overwhelming task volume. My point is…this is the second time this has happened, whatever pinging program you use to determine invalid computer names in AD obviously does not work, efficiently. Also, may I suggest you have a “Professionalism in the Workplace” refresher meeting with your pad wan employee. My nerves are shot and I don’t need her calling me an asshole as a result of you guys breaking stuff that I have to catch flack for. Sorry about the large angry black woman I redirected to you yesterday (hehe) but she was poised to strike at me and she wanted an answer so I gave her the answer. I had already had my fill for the day so I thought I’d share… Let’s hope today goes better and let’s look forward to Buffalo Blues in the near future. Thanks.

If I wanted to be reckless, I would have deleted these accounts. Oh, yes. It was just yesterday that I was up there and you guys were not doing anything. Nothing is perfect. I am trying to do the best I can to keep obsolete accounts under control. If I am not mistaken, it takes 30 seconds (I timed it) to enable an account.

I understand where you are coming from. I do some network admin work on the side among other things and being organized is awesome. If/when the inventory is updated from all those fantastic forms from the migrations we’ve done all summer and are continuing to do, I told you I would remove the old names from AD. Unfortunately, the task of inventory has been reassigned for the time being, :chirp-chirp:. So I wouldn’t trust it with my life. I am aware of the fix, but I didn’t want to step on any of you guys/girls toes in doing so and when I called downstairs yesterday, someone answered their phone, I was in shock. They requested a list and I was told not to make any changes myself. I then implied that ‘the list’ solution would not be sufficiently handled in a timely manner to meet the needs of all of our lovely users who’s work had been halted mid-day. I was then declared an @$$#ole and hung up on.

It may look like we are doing nothing whenever you stop in. I mean, just look at all the track-it reports and all the work orders that haven’t been completed….aside from our responsibilities of manning the office at all times, physically having to go places and actually having to deal with irate/angry/demanding people on a daily basis to get our work done, whenever we do have a chance to sit down we take full advantage of it. Don’t even get me started on our ‘lunch breaks’. All joking aside, when our students sit around and do nothing I’m always looking for things they can do but most of our work they cannot comprehend or retain. They have not been formally trained and I don’t think any of them have desire to pursue any knowledge in the IT field.

I’m done, I have to go finish revamping an OT lab. Later.
