I’m not swaping in the quad 4. I’m going to swap in a 2.2 eco with a turbo. Its a lot stronger motor, and is going to have / does have a lot more aftermaket support than the quad 4. With built up internals and fuel managment upgrades you can easily push 15 psi in to the 2.2 eco and thats being conservitive. Weather you want to believe shit or look it up there are fast cars out there with this platform and I’m not talking about corperate backed cars either. If you care to find them and set aside your distaste for them you can find them.
before you come back with yadda yadda transmission strenth, blah blah iginition shit, Yes I know there is more to it than throwing the shit in and riding down the road. This is going to be a learning experience for me by far
On a side note money was a big issue, I was in the process of saving for a nice down payment on a new car that spring when I hit a deer with my old car in december of 2000. needless to say I wan’t going to buy another beater and worked with what I could down payment wise and NOT needing a co-signer. My only requirements were I wanted no stereo, since I was going to replace it anyways and it had to be a 5-speed. So this is what i was able to afford brand new with 6 miles with the money I had AT the time. Only reason I have a ton of money to drop into “stupid things” now is because I have a decent job unlike when I went to get this car. :dunno:

yeah she is right this is the last summer of buying toys. Thats why i have to get my bike this summer. so the engine thing may get started but take a while to be completed. giveing myself 35 months to pay off all vehicle loans and such so I can have a kid.

what does that transplant run 4Gs? you can buy a used stang throw on some stickies and a K&N filter, set your timing ot 14, flowmasters, bbk offroad pipe and be aggressive and run mid 13s for like 2Gs. that is before modding the motor. and this car would be more looked at then a domestic compact

No for me less than 4 g, I have a hook up an parts. That is the only reason I’m going to do it. One of the guys in our club is also doing a lot of the fabricating. He does all the CNC shit and other things.
