I agree. It’s hard to find a good car for under a certain price point. I lucked out when I found my 350z, it was priced low and had low miles- same with my Celica GTS.
We test drove a couple of cars that were in her price range from craigslist and all had major issues. Toyota Camry had tranny problems and a civic was modded and put back to stock (also was burning oil).
I buy roughly 2 per week from various auctions. I don’t like to gamble, I check them out. I guess the closest thing to gamble I do is buy from West Herr where you can’t really test drive them prior to buying due to the size of the lot.
Not 100% true. You learn which dealers bring decent cars and for the most part they all do. I generally stay away from the cars brought by small dealers as most of the time they are there on the last dying breath. Dorschel cars get me harder then a rock. Buy them and sell them. Occasionally, you might have to wash them to sell them, but that’s about it.
