Super excited, was down in Watkins Glen Friday for a wedding and while down there made an extra 2 hour drive south to pick this up…

1993 CBR900RR
25k miles
5k on the motor
997cc big bore, re-sleeved, new crank, ported & bench flowed heads, 12:1 comp, etc…

Its in awesome shape for its age, few cracks here and there, but I will fix all of that. Pictures are crappy for now, but I’m going to hit it with a 1step polish this week and get it looking amazing. First to do are tires and battery, then maybe steering dampener. Also, going to find some suitable replacement turn signals for the front, probably just something off a newer CBR.

First ride on it quick around the block made me need new underwear, wow is this thing dangerously fast. Guy I got it from told me he rides with a few newer cbr1000’s and this thing can accelerate quick than them… I don’t think I have the balls to find out anytime soon.

I tried to buy that one, the guy is from Buffalo, but works in Albany right? I wanted to go look at it but he never would get back to me on a day to look at it, hopefully you have better luck. He also would never tell me how much he wanted for it after numerous attempts to ask him. That one looks real clean too, just needs to lose the LEDs!

I want that motor in my bike. Any dyno numbers? I saw the youtube vids, looks quick.

No dyno numbers yet, but I will probably bring it out to the next STM bike dyno day to see what its making. I can tell you its a lot more than the Duc, that’s for sure…

Ahh that’s probably why he stopped emailing me… Those are selling for 3500 from what I’ve seen. Very nice bike though, I hope someone will pick it up and treat it right.
