Debadge v holes filled?

you can buy some of the VW symbols in flat black directly from VW… I think I heard they were OEM on some military use or special edition.

Are you saying they had the read badge was a flat color different than the body?

Hmmmm…Might be a photoshop test this afternoon.

I like this idea

I actually think stock badges look nice on red mazda 3s. save the trouble of debagding and buy some coilovers

I agree with everyone else debadge what you can and go with the flat black grill it would look good. As for the back emblem just spray it flat black it would look pretty good and its much cheaper then filling. what kind of wheels are going on this ?

I’m thinking the body colored emblems sounds like the best idea, atleast for the ones that have holes behind them. That way you can go back to stock relatively easy and dont have to worry about rust from welding them up.

Get yourself some plastic pry tools to remove it w/o hurting the paint.

Ugh…

The back end MAZDA and the flying M are both on with holed pins in the body. Just the 3 came off.

I think I am going to relocated it to the other side of the trunk. What is the best way to have it stick on? Any product that works the best and is best for the car paint.

why not get some plastic plugs and paint them with touch up paint.

Since this is my DD, wouldn’t it be more prone to rust out?

It shouldnt rust out as the deck lid was dipped and painted with the holes in it. Its more apt to rust when you weld it because the factory E-coat will be burned off and the weld will rust from the inside out. It probably wont, but there is always the possibility. The plugs will work the same as the emblem will. Most emblems are put on with this:

Its going to be hard to fill the holes with a plug and make it look good.

I’m still voting for painting the emblems the same red as your car and putting them back on.
