I was discussing this with the GF the other day, and began to wonder. Are there any decent arcade/entertainment places left in WNY that has a decent selection of games (Old ones, new ones, or both) that isn’t purely focused on ticket based games.
maybe dave and busters?
Depends on what you are looking for. D+B has some driving games, but not iD or the midnight racing one.
Nothing has current fighters though, would have to go to Toronto.
Tekken4L
Adventure Landing (Putt Putt)? I’m sure it’s mostly new games.
There used to be Doc’s on Transit Road in East Amherst. I remember when he was selling off stand up arcade systems for $100 a piece.
Too bad I didn’t have a house then.
Bowling alleys usually have a lot of older games.
D&B does have a few driving games, but mostly their focus is on prize games. And their prices are a tad towards the steep side. I mean $1 for a game of pac-man, ick.
Adventure Landing does have Initial D, but the machine is in terrible shape. And a few other games as well. Prices are decent though.
I know Phoenix Arcade had a metric ton of vintage games at 25 cents a pop. However I believe they are gone, or have moved somewhere I’m not sure of. Now after Barnes & Noble pretty much pushed them out if I’m not mistaken. If anyone knows if they are still around that would be pretty awesome. I know they still have the game stores.
there’s a fun center or something on transit… down near klein i think… never been there though.
And isnt there a giant arcade in grand island?
If phoenix arcade is the place that sold used games in the mcskinley then it is still there across from where barnes and noble. There is also gnc fun center on transit in elma, they used to have arcade games but I haven’t been there in years.
Too bad Doc’s closed, they used to have EVERYTHING
JNC, they got the best bubble hockey machine around and has rick jenneret calling the plays.
game arcades are a thing of the past
great games
Does anyone still make arcade games really?
go to the arcade in the town of arcade. haha
I’d like to find some place that has the X men arcarde game , i think arcades have gone down hill since home consoles became more and more frequent in homes , its kind of a shame to id like to goto one now and then
As it turned out adventure landing no longer has Initial D, what a waste.
lets ditch school to go to the arcade! YAY! aaaaand cue 80’s music
