Looking to have a detail shop to work with. Traffic will vary, but expect 2-3 cars a week. Full detail in and out. Must be a registered business.
its times like this i wish my dad and i still had our detail business, if your looking for someone that is good and on the books check out California detailing, owners name is rick lacrosse.
ugh why on the books thats no fun

Why are you so worried about it being a registered business? If you contract out the jobs it isn’t your responsibility how the company reports it’s income. I am just curious, not interested in the work.
It’s a write off on each car I sell. If I buy the car for $3K, then have to put Brakes and Tires for say $500, then a detail for say $100, then a tank of fuel for $50. Now lets say just to make things easy I sell the car for $3650. I have to prove it when I sell the car that I put money into it or I will have to pay tax on it as profit, even though I didn’t make a penny n the car. Make sense?
Just have whoever you pay to do it write you a receipt, its not your problem if they dont report the income.
Agreed on the receipt writing. At the end of the year you can issue the detailer a 1099 to have an additional cover-your-ass point.
From that point it’s out of your hands.
If that’s true, then I’m open to all offers as long as I have a paper trail.
Justin, I think you’re fine if you just write a receipt to them…

True fact on the 1099.
Just so long as you get a receipt for each car or even a monthly invoice you should be fine.
Are you still looking for a detailer
showroom detail is a good spot they do all of our work there in west seneca right off indian church
As a small business a regular invoice is fine as long as you’ve paid them under $600 / year. Over that and you need to issue them a IRS 1099 Form.
And it’s always better to contract with actual businesses if what your business is contracting them to do has a high degree of liability.
I would be interested in this if it would be possible for all vehicles to be detailed over a Saturday Sunday. If work needs to be done sporadically on week days that would be fine, but it would be evenings as I have a full time position that I would have to maintain. I have thousands of pictures and there are a lot of people on this very board that know the work I am capable of. I am willing to work as an “Independent Contractor” and issue invoices with the understanding of a 1099 being issued at year end. I have dealt with several Marinas on this exact basis in the past detailing Repo boats.
