Generating somewhere around 4500 hp and enough power to push this near 20,000 lb brick to 231 mph (!?!?!)
Quick lookup showed the 16V92TA is an industrial machine…

That’s gotta be the fastest injector only quad turbo dual supercharged diesel in the country.
Probably not, as smaller items i.e. cameras, tripods tend to get sucked into one of the four snails hanging off the head when it’s on boost… :lol

the blowers on DD engines do not provide any boost, they merely provide air to the engine. They don’t generate suction like a normal engine because those DDs are 2 stroke. I’d love to hear that thing rip!
All DDs from 12v + came with at least 2 blowers. 8v and below only had one. You’re 100% right on the marine / industrial. I can’t find a single example of a 16v being put in a truck from the factory, a few did come with the 12v’s though! They were generally 12v71s though and usually not the good, newer silver series. I could go on for days.

What do the last numbers in the engine codes mean?
cylinder displacment… so 8v71 is 8 cylinders at 71ci each. 16v92 is 16 cylinders @ 92ci each!
