the blowers on DD engines do not provide any boost, they merely provide air to the engine. They don’t generate suction like a normal engine because those DDs are 2 stroke. I’d love to hear that thing rip!
All DDs from 12v + came with at least 2 blowers. 8v and below only had one. You’re 100% right on the marine / industrial. I can’t find a single example of a 16v being put in a truck from the factory, a few did come with the 12v’s though! They were generally 12v71s though and usually not the good, newer silver series.
