Did we ever solve minimum ethernet limit?

I rember Howie was dealing with this a while back…

Well, we have a 1foot cat6 cable and throughput seems to be a-ok, so…

it’s 3 feet… but that’s only a guideline…

Yeah, I dunno, works ok, so i don’t wonder…

I just used less then a foot and it seems to be fine.

<—wasn’t aware there was a min length for them

There isnt really a minimum, i have one in my network tool box and its no more than 5" and works fine.

it will work fine… but if u get down to the nitty gritty high tech cable testing… it’s not giving the performance it should… otherwise u’ll never tell the difference

Just out of curiosity, any source to back that up?

I know the reason there is supposed to be a minimum lenth is cancelation.
