Cant u just cut some round wood pieces and paint em black, then have some BMW decals made in white vinyl apply to wood then cover em in laquer. Less baller but anyone could make those even.
So I can count on a pair for Christmas right?
^ That’s a GOOD alternative but is that really much different than what Josh did…really? It’s another way to do it but really not that much easier or at least it should not be viewed that way, IMO.
Josh works with a broad range of ideas (Caliper display, bumper mods, indash stuff, tables, wall art, and now coaster…he has a pletora of craftsmanship and creativity) but basically he uses materials/parts/ideas he knows how to use/understands/worked with and what he like to look at. In general, anyone CAN do this. He just has LOTS of practice. Or it appears that way.
Cut wood circles (I’m sure you can get some junk coasters and use them) = Bought Pipe Flange
BMW Decals = Modified BMW Plate
Laquer < Epoxy (For durability, not prone to tarnish, can be buffed over and over, etc…)
I like seeing others create stuff. It gets me going on ideas for myself. I have been thinking of a cool idea for my next :snky: project and these Epoxy threads helped me out.
I one was motivated to try it make one using Laquer and one using Epoxy. Similar to the part cleaning thread.
