I have seen a bunch of Homeowner DIYs (I know I will be posting more of them) and in almost everyone posted someone says that we should have a Home Improvement Subforum. I did not see anyone post in the suggestion area so here it is.

Just because 5 out of 1000 have remodeled their homes doesn’t mean you should get a sub-forum.

There’s been a good volume of INTERESTING and well-written home improvement threads lately. Which is a stark contrast to the SHIT and PORN that goes into its own dedicated subforum.
So why not a dedicated subforum that will offer more substancial, informative content that more and more NYSpeeders are becoming interested in?
I think that the diy sub forum for home mods is a great idea. Good luck with the haters though.
Valid point. I am thinking more of DIY and Tips that relate to housing or construction projects that are not associated with Automotive stuff. I realize that this is not a “Build a house” forum but many Auto enthusiasts that tinker on their cars apply ideas inside their house and vise versa. Hell some people use Automotive technology inside their homes and it works out great.
In almost EVERY home DIY you see “That’s awesome” or “Good job” or “I can’t wait to see more” just like in all the good Car build threads. There is little hate so if we all are getting along can we please have one 
^ see that started off as “I am thinking about buying a house,” Fuck that. You get a real estate agent to show you homes. I think a subforum for house upgrades that do not apply to car stuff on a CAR forum is a good idea because of the abilities of most members to make cool shit. This gives others ideas.
The reason there is a Big Rig/Off-Roading forum that no one goes to is because they put it in GEN Auto or DIY. I just read NELSTOYS thread in DIY (http://nyspeed.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60690), great read btw, on adding some shocks to his Taco but being that he is a smart guy and wants to show the DIYers how the shocks look different, this makes more sense that it is not hidden in a BigRig thread. Or, should that be in BigRigs/Gen Auto, it’s the same thing in my eyes, and not the DIY section?
If I replace my fireplace stone with brick rather than putting that in a different forum like some jerk off Home Depot website I want to get opinions from people I “know” and see what others do that share the same basic passion for what I do, Cars.
If I rebuild my cabinets that would not go into OT or Gen Auto it would go either DIY or another forum. Since I could give a shit about anything but NYSpeed ( <3 ) I want to put it here. So it goes into DIY. But, it is not Car related in any sense. So it seems logical to have a serperate forum for Home stuffs so peopl do not have to skip over meaningless house shit in a CAR DIY.
I would continue to go to the DIY section but a lot of members are asking for a DIY home edition.
Yes, a Home DIY. Not who has the best mortgage rates…that is OT.
You are right. It does not relate to cars in anyway.
The only related home improvement stuff would be
a DIY v.look at my garage.
