Who else went to that dj Tiesto concert yesterday? I know I saw redbaron303 there. Personally I’m not a fan of the whole rave/techno kind of music but my buddy talked me into going and I must say, it was a blast. Dj Tiesto, said to be one of the best dj’s in the world, came to Edmonton last night June 8th to Escape ultra lounge. He put on an awesome show. Here’s a pic or two of the event:
It’s not the best quality as you can see but my phone was all I had to take these. I couldn’t manage to get a picture from the dance floor because it was packed!!!
I love trance and I love Tiesto, but I heard the show wasn’t up to his standard. (Tiesto has been voted top DJ in the world 2 years running). It’s unfortunate he didn’t play a better set for edmonton. His Magik series is what got me into electronic music and to hear that he is lifting up the turntables and dropping records onto the platter, not cool Tij’s. I also heard his track selection was crappy, he did play Traffic but he cut out Adiago at the end and didn’t play enough quality tracks.
I’m kinda glad I didn’t go, it would wreck his image for me.
Kaskade (house DJ) is comming here on the first of July @ Standard - that is gonna be a damn good party for sure!
Dru, R&B shit isn’t for the clubs, they don’t call it dance music for nothing, you should go to more of these!
Holy man that show was crazy. I have never seen escape so packed. Thanks to Chris for driving me home and waiting for me to get his sig. Oakenfold will rock the house. I really like his new stuff.
