As mentioned on AIM I didn’t install mine in the M3, but a quick google search returned that it does need a regular adapter harness to plug into the stock harness.

there are also all kinds of weird hacks for the factory head unit for line in and line out etc…
I might keep mine stock… it just looks so “correct” in there
I LOVED my e34 because the changer worked
