Do not Buy Harbor Freights Vacuum bleeder

I am a sucker for cheap tools sometime, like the ones you rarely use.
This thing pissed me off to no end. Dont buy it unless you like worthless junk. I exchanged one that could not build any vacuum for another POS
that didnt work. Took that one back and got my $ back. What a waste of
time arrhhhhhhhhhhhh:banghead:

I know its a real surprise that a harbor freight tool did not work, just
letting ya know not to buy this.

thanx…i was actually thinking of buying their bleeder kit…Now i wont

i’ve used this exact kit a couple times and it has never given me any trouble at all. either you got a couple bad apples or i got lucky with a good kit.

I haven’t had good luck with any vac bleeder I’ve used. Grab a friend and a 6 pack and do it up old-fashioned style.

My dad has the same one and it works great. Never had any problems with it.

harbor freight is only good for tools with very few moving parts -or- similar.

I hate those damn pressure bleeders. You think you’re good to go and the next thing you hear is drip… drip… drip of fluid pissing out the MC onto the ground.

Fixed.

Seriously, if it has moving parts, or you plan to use it a lot, stay away from that place.

I even double up on the jackstands I got there for fear of some major failure.

on a positive note… harbor freight is a great place for tarps :stuck_out_tongue:

actually, I got a set of calipers from there and they’re supprisingly well built. Pretty dang accurate too (within .5-1mm)

I’ve had a set of their impact sockets for 3 years and never had an issue. I’m not very gentle with them either.

In fact their jackstands held up my SHO for a year and a half

I think you just got unlucky Poop. I have that bleeder, and it works like a charm.

Im not saying that there aren’t any good tools there.

Only about 1/3 of my purchases from there have ended in heartache. meh

I have these two and they work great.

I’ve had pretty good luck with a lot of their tools. Only a few busted impact sockets (which they replaced for free for me). Also, busted a few sets of pliers from there, which once again, they replaced. Also, picked up the pancake style bearing seperater to pull tranny bearings and the bolts in that bent, but they replaced it for free yet again. The only 2 things I’ve ever been dissatisfied with from there was the 90 degree swiveling air adapter you put at the end of an air hose (tried two of em both leaked at the o-ring) and a 3 dollar pickle fork which bent to shit the first time I tried to use it.

i personally think with tools u get what u pay for. i have all mac tools and i have had 2 issues. one broken socket from trying to do something i shouildnt(u should of saw the craftsman socket we used after that snapped worst) and my led shop light wouldnt recharge. everything was taken care of promptly same week
