Do you have a course that scares the shit outta you?

So after attending my first Aeroelasticity lecture today, I’m officially intimidated. I don’t even truly know what it is yet, but the course description gave me an idea of the ass-raping I’m about to receive:

Outline: Modeling and analysis of discrete and continuous systems. Equilibrium and stability concepts. Wing divergence. Control surface effectiveness including aileron reversal. Flutter analysis of two-dimensional wings. Flutter of a three-dimensional wing. Quasi-steady and unsteady aerodynamics. Flexibility effects on aircraft stability and control. Flutter prevention and control. Overview of other aeroelastic phenomena such as vortex shedding, buffeting and stall flutter. :noes:

It sounds complicated, but most courses do. You’ll learn alot in that course about aerodynamics, basic principles and plane specific information too.

Go in there with a brain like a sponge and rather then try to figure it all out on the first day. work with the prof.

You’ll be fine…
