Imitrex is the F’N shit for migraines. It is the only medication I have ever taken that I can actually feel it working. I only take 50mg at a time, I’d probably stroke out if I took a 100mg. Clarinex nasal spray has kept my allergies under control for the last month, the key is definatley use the shit early.
here is something I found out from dealing with my own Migraines. Migraines are a type of headache…not a strength of headache. i kept calling what I was getting migraines… I was seeing spots … couldn’t stand the light… nauseated… Slightly incoherent…
The doctor gave me some prescription stuff that didn’t do a damn thing. I started keeping a log of when I got the migraines and found a pattern. Every 4 weeks… my SEVERE headaches were not Migraines… they are stress headaches. 2 midol PMS every day for a week… every 4 weeks… stopped the headaches… I haven’t had one for 3 years.
What I’m trying to say is… if the Migraine medicine the doctor is giving you isn’t working… maybe irt isn’t a migraine… maybe it is another type of headache.
This explanation would also explain why some folks respond to a choripractor and others don’t… The cause of the Severe headache is different.
On another note… I watched my Mother suffer all her life with these “Migraine” headaches… I thought I was doomed. But I worked with my doctor and I don’t have the Severe headaches anymore.

actually, i think i’m building up a tolerance. When i was 18, a vicodin knocked me the fuck out. Now? it only dulls my headaches.
I took allergy injections for a few years, and it never did work for me. I have horrible allergies, I take Drixoral, it works for me. Nothing else does, not even Rx meds…
shaler punk, you ever tried saline baths for your sinuses? you basically inhale strong salt water into your sinus cavities a couple times a night, and it gets rid of the infection in a few days. It burns like hell but it works.
And guess Fall is around the corner cause my allergies have been BAD these past few days :eek4dance
hahahahha… Well I hope not… but what I’m saying is maybe you should find out what is causing the severe headaches… I don’t believe it is allergies… it could be something else…
What will happen when your immunity doesn’t let the Vicodin work? Your head will still hurt and now you will have no relief.
i get severe allergies that lead to congestion and sinus infections. spreads to ear infections. massive sinus headaches.
