now interior wise, imo all late model gm and jap imports are cheap. only nice interiors you will see in a newer car is going to be found in a german built car, or an old domestic (think 50ā€™s). the build quality and use of plastic has ruined new cars.

now cmparing a truck and a civic on timeslips alone, i would see that the truck out accelrates the civic out of the hole. but do a test from 30-60, or 30-100, and the civic woukld probably out accelerate the truck due to being in itā€™s effective tq/power ranges. tq gets you going hp keeps it going. but w/ that said, who needs tq when you have a shit load of hp and high rev limit. thats where the 10k turbo hondas come into play.

car mod wise, 4 bangers have been modded way b4 v8, or flat 8ā€™s even. model t was a 4 bangerā€¦ You dont see much about pre ww2 american racing, but just look over in europe-- the germans, esp mercedes and auto union were gung ho on top speed. The italians and germans road racedā€¦
