Ya H1’s are bad ass but I cant imagine any military issue is in good shape. Between sand and every other natural element hit with it on top of being just abused, you might be better buying a civilian one.

You used to be able to buy all the parts seperate and assemble it yourself for a reasonable amt. of money. 30k ish. Problem was if the factory didnt assemble it it was not issued a VIN or MCO and became kinda a pain as it would have to go thru salvage inspection and get issued a NY VIN#
you can get them thru army auctions. I just came in for lunch after driving one at work for testing 
I am on co-op for a testing company in Nevada. They are not all that great for offroad tell you the truth, they are not comfortable what so ever
civilian H1 and military HMMWV are 2 different trucks, just an fyi
there should be a lot coming on the market(if they get sold) in the next couple of years because they are getting replaced by the JLTV
