yeah thats pretty fucked up dude, but anyway this is the third motor and im just looking to get ride of it im not sure why the motors blew up but this motor is running top notch.
someone should pick this up im a little bit flexible.
has anyone datalogged this car to check the quality of the state of tune on it? a turboback exhaust on a stock ecu’d WRX is asking for trouble. factory subaru tunes are garbage and adding “bolt on” parts to the car makes it even more unstable. even if it doesnt sell… get it checked out asap for your own good. GLWS either way.
Funny allans 02 has a factory tune with a turbo back and boost controller and his car has run fine for 25k.Must be a freak
Didn’t '02 WRX’s have a thing for 2nd gear becoming VERY screwed up? Just something I’ve heard from a couple Subaru dudesssssss. Don’t know if it was true or not because I was once considering buying one…then I ran out of money =D
i didnt think it would be to big of a deal with just a full exhaust but i guess i could have it flashed. im assuming it had never had anything done to it. i dont beat it the motor that is in it now has not seen more then 10psi.

why would it matter if its on it 3rd engine, all engines have been installed professionally. the only reason the second blew up well i actually dont know why the second one blew up i only had it for a day. the engine that is in it is factory and has never been rebuilt so why does it matter?

how do you know something is fixed without a proper diagnosis? For all you know, it could blow up 10 seconds after someone gets it home.

no, you took that all wrong. both motors had bearing materail in the oil. the car would over boost to like 18 pounds with the gay aem intake on it. now the car does not have the intake installed. the car never goes about 10 pounds so whats the big deal i just want another honda

i understand where you’re comming from, but seeing the results of even factory tunes has me worried about buying another subaru ever. the overboosting condition im sure was contributed to by the intake, BUT what id be scared of is the MAF scaling when switching from the stock airbox to that intake… im sure that played a role in the motors (plural) demise. there are plenty of people locally who have a tactrix cable who can at least datalog it for you, check fbkc (feedback knock correction) and adjust air/fuel and timing parameters. my suggestion is to give justin mcgrath (celtic1982citlec) or jays05 (bigturbo on nads) a call and see what they can do to help you out. again, best of luck with the sale, and if the motor pops again, i have an ej257 for sale cheap. haha
