Texas arresting people in bars for being drunk
Undercover agents pursue inebriates in a pre-emptive strategy

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Texas has begun sending undercover agents into bars to arrest drinkers for being drunk, a spokeswoman for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission said on Wednesday.
The first sting operation was conducted recently in a Dallas suburb where agents infiltrated 36 bars and arrested 30 people for public intoxication, said the commission’s Carolyn Beck.
Being in a bar does not exempt one from the state laws against public drunkenness, Beck said.
The goal, she said, was to detain drunks before they leave a bar and go do something dangerous like drive a car.
“We feel that the only way we’re going to get at the drunk driving problem and the problem of people hurting each other while drunk is by crackdowns like this,” she said.
Just imagine if they did that here. They’d have to have 10 paddy wagons on Chippewa. That is some crazy shit.

I will say this. People down there get fucked up. We would always see people in the streets letting lose. Lots of drunks down there… But man where the chicks hot…
I was arrested twice in Texas for public intoxication. Both times I was riding in a car, the driver gets pulled over and bam. The first time I was underage, and the driver was intoxicated so I will give them that one.
The second time I was playing wing man for my friend so I said I’ll ride with the fatty. Fatty was speeding 80 in a 60 and gets pulled over. I’m like o.k. she’s getting a speeding ticket.
Cop: “Can I see your license, reg and insurane.”
Fatty: “I don’t have insurance, I was already have on ticket for this.”
Me: “:banghead:”
Cop: “Have you been drink?”
now this bitch had the minor “X” on her hand and didn’t see her drink at the bar…
Fatty: " I had a few beers earlier."
Me: “:banghead:”
So yeah they tell me to get out of the car, do a sobriety test on me, the passnger. But here is the thing, I wasn’t feeling good that night, and didn’t drink more than 2 drinks, and I did everything right during the sobriety test. After doing everything right they arrest me. Fucking cop was on a power trip…
It got thrown out of court because he never gave me a breathylizer
