i was about to guess the same thing. but i don’t know shit about srt4 engines so i couldn’t tell ya anything for sure.
haha yeah.
i was going to suggest that but i figure that since nobody on the srt4 board mentioned it… its not a possibility. they would pick that out right away you would think
still dosent explain the paint on the piping and how it’s magically in almost perfect shape AND painted right up to the weld… ( seeing as you can’t Al. weld with anything but freshly cleaned surfaces… this is busted. ) good job with the PS work in the alpha channel and attention to detail in the lighting angle.
No that is an intake pipe thats where it comes out.Arent the AEM stickers made of a foil kinda shit they arent just a regular sticker I am pretty sure they are metal.
That’s a weird looking engine bay… If that’s an intake, it should be leading to the turbo, but I can’t see a trace of any other piping anywhere else there.
if its anything like an sr, it would be going to the right place… keep in mind the engine is rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise… the exhaust manifold is on the opposite side of the motor than you can see so thats where the pipe needs to go
So you’re saying it’s been photoshopped 3 separate times from 3 separate angles? Come on…
That’s just it. It’s not painted. AEM intakes come in either polished or brushed aluminum, red, or blue.
I used to retouch as part of my job, I know a thing or two
my opinion without saving them and zooming in to look for artifacts… is those are real
the shines and reflections are correct as are the shadows, and doing the same edit from three angles even having access to equally angled shots of the bov on another pipe wouldn’t give you the same quality and feel…
that’s because the turbo is sandwiched between the engine/firewall. it’s tucked in very discretely.
as for the pictures… they look pretty damn real to me… there is even blue reflection from the car on the trumpet of the BOV and the shadows of the vac lines break-up against the varying depths of the engine.
as for the cleaniness of the welds… maybe they wrapped the intake with something? thermal wrap… even a towel would help eliminate some of the shout. fuck they could have wrapped it with tinfoil even, not a very big deal.
