I totally agree. Buffalo has its good points. Hopefully they will whittle down the bad ones.
I will admit, there is plenty I will miss about WNY. my move is because what I want to do with my life does not fit into the plans nearly as well in WNY.
There are a lot of positives, and I really do hope that downtown improves and can experience a rebirth.
To be fair too, I think that the high fuel costs will be a blessing in disguise for downtown.

I still think they should turn the old steel plant into either a 1/4 mile drag strip (NHRA) or a nascar track. It would do wonders for revenue me thinks, not to mention clean the area up.
