Dr. ColorChip - Fixing Paint Chips

http://www.drcolorchip.com/

Anyone else use this? They match the color code to your specific car and it seems to work quite well. I’m looking for something to freshen up the front of my truck. From TTNET:

I found that most on the site were praising the fact that Dr Colorchip not only was a good product, but the product was paint matched to the factory color code. I proceeded to purchase the “best value kit” to take my chance on getting the Z’s paint refreshed. Here are some pics of the process which took a good bit of Saturday…but as you can see the time was worth the hard work!
Here is the car after a wash…

Now time to Clay Bar the Z before moving forward…

These pictures only do so much justice and seeing the transformation in person is just amazing. The best value kit covered my repairs to the front bumper and hood areas. I’m not a spokes person for the product, but I wanted to share my good fortune with you all that has not found this paint kit. The product will not be for all if you that have a custom paint job, but it really helps me buy some more time with the factory paint before a new paint job.

i may invest in this… i-95 is killing me lately.

I have not personally used Dr. ColorChip. But, I have used OEM touchup paint - clean, apply, hand polish, and wax with very good results.

Dr. Colorchip and the LANGKA paint system are basically same. Both are popular and give similar results. As far as filling the chip, the chip will never look 100% perfect with these systems, especially on metallic paints. This is due to when you take off the top layer of paint off with their system, the metallic seems to almost settle on the bottom causing the paint to look dull and not match. Basically what I’m trying to say is if you’re a perfectionist and will not be satisfied with the chip not being 100% invisible then this is not for you. How ever if you’re just looking for quick and affordable method of filling the chip to protect it this may be for you. Just my input.
