Anyone else hear about this? Both CFRN and 630 Ched have reported that the organizers of the Champ Car events at the city centre airports are offering a drifting demo on one of the days. Pretty cool! 
If you mean the Edmonton Grand Prix, then yes, I heard about it tonight. They seem to even have an official 180SX drift car. I’d look forward to it, but chances are I won’t be in Canada when it happens.
If you go to grandprixedmonton.com they talk about it. The guys are called “Drift Alliance.”
I heard there was going to be a drift demo this year back in July 05 at the grand prix…should be good.

Last year Verena Mei the drft hottie from LA <Click here> was supposed to put on a show at the Grand Prix, but I guess she didn’t get to drift on the track. She was only able to show off her car at Invision Auto’s booth.
A good thing too, she wasn’t very impressive down at the D1GP in LA last month. There were quite a few beginner drivers that beat her during the tryouts for one of the US spots, she didn’t even come close to being in the top 6 out of 30.

I don’t know if you guys know who Andrew is, he usually is the one who runs the Drifting at Budpark in the Summer and has the Wine Red(soon to be flat black) 180. Anyhow him and a few other guys are the ones responsible for getting the drift session into the Grand Prix, they are also trying to (probably not this year) get a champ car parade through Edmonton but have the nicest street cars in the City be the Champ Car Escorts. Anyhow just a tid bit of information for all y’all (Too bad more of you guys weren’t at the X-mas party, then you could have got more info on all of this).
yes D-SPORT will be in ko-hoots with DRIFT MANIA…and then after 06 D-SPORT AND DRIFT MANIA (from out east) will be one… we are bringing DRIFT ALLIANCES top drivers which will include, GITTEN, ANGELO, HAMPTON, FORSEBURG, anlong with a couple of there close buddies, a couple guys from out east, and two local drivers from edmonton…all in all it should be a good show, happening twice a day for 20min, all 3days of the event…more info. on the session times will follow as Grand Prix approaches!
