still waiting for a reply via email, have been going back and forth, says the bodys in great condition just neeeds attention to the turbo and wheel area. i might just bypass the turbo and get some NA headers from a junkyard. 1 less problm to worry about during winter.
Errr you can buy a stock turbo for like 60 bucks
cheap 14b or cheap 16g, NA on a dsm is NOT an option

Its more work to make it N/A then it is to bolt on a new turbo. I may even have one of those laying around
thats stupid. just buy a NT laser/eclipse or talon.
you already sound intimidated by this car. cant imagine when something actually goes wrong. a car like that, id do the timing belt/balance shaft belt(or removal) immediatly.

no, i have no clue abuot dsm’s, which is why i made a quick post. when i get the car next week, im doing all maintance shit. no modding what so ever.
do a timing belt asap. 4G63 is an interference engine. i have no desire to ever work on a DSM again, unless its my own. after doing a ground up rebuild on a TSi, ive had enough… start reading on dsm sites, plenty of info out there on these things.
