Below is a link to the rules and regulations etc for those entering DTP Calgary with the NECC. If you are participating in the show, please read over these rules and become familiar with them:

Also, if you are entering your car into the NECC booth, please email me at admin@n-e-c-c.com with the following information, which has been requested by the DTP Organizers:

And if you agree to the following waiver: “As a participant of Driven To Perform, I agree to hereby hold harmless the organizers and participants of Driven To Perform from any claims of loss and/or harm regarding same event. I agree to abide by all standards and rules set forth by judges and organizers of Driven To Perform. By accepting these conditions, I hereby agree to accept under reasonable conditions the final judgment and award of prizes of the participating judges of same event. I understand and accept all rules and claim by my submission that all the information is correct and understand that any false information can jeopardize my eligibility in this competition.”

Time Line:

Leave Edmonton at 1:00pm on Friday, May 27th from Gateway Information Center (Big Oil rig south of the city, between the Calgary Trails).
Arrive in Calgary around the 4:00pm mark.
Check into the Marriott Downtown and unpack
Eat quick dinner.
Meet Calgary people at the nearest Car Wash, and wash cars.

So from Downtown Calgary, we are going to head west on 6th ave SW which will turn into Bow Trail SW. Get off onto Crowchild Northbound. Head north until the Charleswood Drive exit and exit on it; but go straight through the intersection (32ave) and it turns into Brentwood Road NW. The car wash is on 37ave and on the right hand side.

Everyone meet there at 5:30pm!!!

Go to DTP (Olympic Oval, University of Calgary, see map) to roll the cars in (by 10:00pm).
Setup booth.
Go back to Hotel, via train or people who came but didn’t enter show.
Change, drink, party, have fun.
Get up Sat. morning and go to DTP for the day.
Roll the cars out around 10:30pm or so.
Meet up with the Calgary Nissan folks at Chinnok Mall Parking lot.
Sleep.
Meet for a cruise with the Calgary folks.
Drive back to Edmonton around 1:00pm.

To bring:

Your cars.
Tools for just in case.
Clothes for going out.
Money.
Lawn chair to sit in during DTP.
Any items to keep you busy (magizines, etc.)
Floor mats or newspaper to catch any drips under the cars.
Cleaning supplies to wash cars.
Camera
Any drift/car vids (mainly relevant to Nissans) for our projector.
Anything else you can think of.

hey, the nearest car wash is in brentwood. its a couple of blocks away and its open 24 hours.

Ya! Drive through type one? Have to drive around a fence to the back of it or something like that? Crowchild or something like that?

You Calgary boys just need to say the word on where to meet (at a car wash) and we’ll meet you there at like 5:30pm!!

Charles, you’re more than welcome to come down with us. We have 9 rooms at the Marriott.

If so, that’s my favorite car wash… 2 min / $1 isn’t bad at all.

This located anywhere near the University of Calgary? Cause I know most of us Edmonton guys don’t exactly know where to go around Calgary.

Actually it’s kinda far from the UofC, probably about 15 min south of it. I may stop there on the way to meet you guys.

ya you guys can find somewhere up north to wash, but i like the idea of a cruise together to a car wash, and take over the entire place with our cars… :cheer:
so what if somone in calgary (maybe me) met you somewhere up north? and you follow that person down? its pretty easy

ya, its just off crowchild. its the closest one to the U of C. but if you guys wanna go for that free wash its all cool. But if its the on that I suggested I will be there at 5:30, I need to wash the car. but if the cars are to low you have to go through the exit cause there is a killer speed bump where you enter the wash. well figure it out cause I would love to take pictures and “document” the whole weekend for a project I am doing.

I think the easiest thing would be to meet at that carwash nearest to the UofC: the one that I was thinking of. Anyone know the address for it? Or can anyone find it out for me, so that I can let all the other people know where to meet?

thats the closest one, its the one I am talking about.

the best way to get there is when your coming into calgary is:

take the off ramp onto country hill blvd all the way to shagganapi trail (turn left there) than that should take you all the way to crowchild. but don’t go on crowchild, there are 2 lanes and you want to stay in the right lane and it will bring you to another set of lights. go straight through the lights and it will bring you to your next set where you can go straight and it will bring you onto crowchild. but you want to turn left there and you will go under a bridge and at the next set take a right than follow that road past the co-op and when you reach madison’s turn left there. than you should see the car wash as you pass through the messed up stop sign and kilkenny is right behind it.

than its less than a 2 min drive if you have green lights all the way.

I think its easier to do

Country hills west
left on shagannapi
left on john laurie
right on Brisebois dr
left on brentwood rd then its just up the road a bit

i like road names instead of “second left, third right…”
