Ducati fanbois step in

Thinking about ditching the ZX-6r… it’s my third I4 sport bike and it’s time for something different. Granted I just bought it brand new last spring, I got such a deal on it that selling it now I could get what I paid for it… Ever since I saw the new street fighter, I fell in love… anyone ride one or know anything about them? Pros/cons? Yes, it’s italian so the upkeep should be a bit more than the big 4 bikes…

thoughts?

Looks great, bar end mirrors would help tremendously. That lower radiator looks like a rock catcher…

Daily rider? Or weekend fun?

Maintenance won’t be a real big deal if you do most yourself, you’ll need a few special tools here and there. Mods cost more than you’ll like, try and find one with termi’s and eco already so you don’t take the hit. If you buy used, make sure to get all the service records. If your not going to work on it expect it to cost about $800-1000 for the 6k mile service intervals.

The Streetfighter is IMO a near perfect idea (can’t say bike because I haven’t ridden it), its basically the love child of a Monster and 1198.

V twin sport bikes FTMFW <3

I can’t emphasize this enough.

Dope bike.

Love the streetfighter… great looking bike.

Havent ridden one yet, I’m not much on twins though, I suggest finding one and riding it for a week first… see if you can make the transition. Streetfightered bikes suck on the highway. just sayinggg

Will just hates anything non SS lol =p

BS, I love z1000’s, i love streetfighters, and I love I4’s… i hate 7k redlines, and sub 100 hp

z1000’s are great bikes, but goosey. they need a damper from the factory, wassupwitdat

Love the stype of exposed ducati frames

I guess I like Ducatis.

The streetfighter is basically a naked 1198/1098. It has gobs of power, but is pretty hard on the wrists if you’re just fartin’ around town… it just begs to be ridden fast. I went the other direction and bought a bike that was more upright and comfortable, but also a total hooligan bike. It doesn’t have near the hp of the streetfighter but it’s a blast to ride all day long. Unlike Willybeen, I never quite got used to I4’s and have way more fun in the v-twins. I ended up ditching my cbr600rr for a Hypermotard 1100evo and am so glad I did.

so hot.

do it.

NAO!!!

I have never ridden a motorcycle. I want this in the worst way after having seen it at the Toronto Bike Show a few years ago.

^ looks so much better without the front farring

In my eyes, that front farring makes it. I saw this bike in that off white with a green stripe, SOOOO HOT.

needs rear fender delete as well, but that’s a given I think.

the perfect version:
