My girlfriend has a 1999 Dodge Durango and I was pulling it out of my yard which was really muddy and I put it in 4 wheel drive so it didn’t get stuck and it went right out no problem. I then turned it around in my driveway and we went to the mall. As she was driving it, when we would take tight turns the tires would squeel. I came to the assumption that it is stuck in 4 wheel drive
Back up in an EMPTY light pole free parking lot very fast, but in control. Jam on the brakes. If it doesn’t pop, something more serious is stuck. I think there’s a solenoind on that unit that is notorious for failure, someone correct me on that if I mistaken.
The reverse trick should work…if not try putting it in 4low then going to 2hi, one of the trucks at work got stuck in 4hi and wouldn’t come out until i put it in neutral then 4lo then went to 2hi
