for me not to want to copy blockbusters rentals. so, i have myself a dvd burner and some spare dvd’s. now i need the program to make blockbusters stuff my own. gotta build a library and all that so…i know someone here knows. and lets keep in mind i am computer dumb and need the easiest way possible, or i will be back to ask more dumb questions.

dvd shrink works for most movies and its very easy to use it just sucks that there are no more updates for it but it does the job for me. Every so often I will have to use dvdfab

dvd shrink works for most, not sony archos protection though, but there are workarounds.
I’m cheaper than you, i go to the public library and borrow a few dvd’s then copy them and take them back.
Also hitup your friends collections, ask if you can borrow a couple.
I have like 500 burned dvd’s.
I author them so that the only thing on the dvd is the movie, no gay trailers, or menus or stuff.
You can reauthor them in dvd shrink, it also improves quality if you are burning to dvd-5’s anyways.
Sony protection can be removed by using DVD Fab Decrypter before using shrink.

DVD Shrink was great in it’s time, but it doesn’t work with a lot of new releases now. I haven’t used Shrink in probably 6 months, not since I started using DVD Fab.

I’m still using version 3030, and it hasn’t had any issues. That was a version I happened to find a crack for and haven’t bother looking for a newer version since.
To be honest, I will probably buy a copy of dvd fab. It’s that good. This from a guy who hasn’t bought software in probably 5 years. :lol:
Nice, I had been using DVD Shrink… I didn’t have too many issues but occasionally there would be one I couldn’t do. I’ll have to try this one :tup:

now is there a way to take a movie off the pc and somehow load it onto memorystick for the psp so i can watch on that vs buyin the dvd?

dvdfab has a built in option to dump a dvd into psp and ipod formats :tup:
DRM sucks.
Corporations suck.
Look at torrents as well, most files that say “dvd rip” are usually very high quality.
