hey

well today i was out for a drive and then remember that there was a dyno day at saisan motors here in kitchener, so i show up late in the afternoon, didnt get my camera till after i watched a few cars run, then i heard that a 350z was about to go up so thats when i went and got my camera so how about i just post some pics.

car ran great, pushes 255HP

while the 350z was getting ready i was talking with a guy who has a nice white '93 300zx TT
so after we watched the 350’s dyno run we went and checked out this beast

then it was time for a '88 jeep to go up

as it was going up this happen… oh oh

the jeep pushed out 179hp, could push out more if it didnt have those huge ass tires on.

then it was time for the last car for the night

a honda civic… turns out i worked with this guy at my last job (diff shift)

this civic is a beast!! damn is this thing ever quick

this thing pussshed out a whoopping 355HP!!! at i belived they said 8psi of boost. 1/4 mile time was 12.Xseconds according to the dyno readings

so this is what i did today, i asked them if they are having another dyno day and they said “ya, 1 more probably before winter” so if anyone wants to run there car in a month or so there will be a cheap dyno day ($50ish/3runs)

Nice pics thanks for sharing. I don’t think my car would make it up that steep ramp being lowered I only have 3.5 inch front end clearance.

What numbers did the 300zx pull?

I hate those fast little hondas.

the 300 didnt go up, but he said the next dyno day he is most likly going to dyno his… but is also not likeing the steep ramp, several cars needed to get boards under the wheels just to clear it. the 350z was really really close to scrapeing, but didnt with the help of some boards they had lying around

btw, do you know what mod was on that 350z? 255whp is actually a lot since i’m guessing i’m only arond 230whp with all the breathing mods.

What kind of dyno is this?

Do we get A/F readings as well?

ya the price is really good, wish i wasnt broke felt like seeing how a stock 240 does…

as for the 350z, not sure of his mods but did notice, injen exhust tips, and an air filter… not sure if whole intake.

the dyno is a “mustang dynometer” and obviously above ground… cant really tell you much more.

and yes they’ll give you printouts.

I think i’m going to have to come out one day. I would like to get my 240 dyno before the winter.

I found the 350z’s mod on the other forum. I believe the numbers on that dyno is pretty inflated considering I can’t see how his mods could get 255whp.

But let me know when the next dyno day is, I’d definitely like to see what my car pulls and what my damn A/F is, been getting some screwed up symptoms ever since my tp’s were installed…

i don’t think david, church’s nor my car can make it up that ramp without scraping.

if ur not tuning and you just want to see what your car makes, dont run on a mustang dyno. look for a dynojet or something.

I installed a wolf popcharger and magna flow exhaust on my 03 350z and it had no problem producing 250whp.

I really wanna dyno to see how much does the Mrev2 and engine spacer makes. I think most of the Z members will make some consistant #s since we have similar mods.

havnt heard anything about a dyno day yet… think ill drop by the shop and ask them when/if there having one before the snow fall.
