Dynoed the Trans Am

357 hp, 310 ft-lb

Not too bad, about what I was expecting. That number is maybe a few hp high since it was kind of a peak. Might be a few more to squeeze out with a little better tune. Checked a/f on both banks separately - until a rocker arm loosened up.

Call up Hybrid and get in on the fun!

damn! Nice numbers jeff!

congrats

nice numbers man

 congrats, was there much differants between side on a/f?

Somewhat, but I only got one partial run on the right side before the rocker arm came loose.

Red is left bank, blue is right bank.

so two not a bad idea?

Yeah, it was a good idea. One of the plugs stripped out a little though, caught a burr or something. Jay said he’ll thank you later.

I don’t know if PCMforless can tweak too much by mail without having the car, but I’ll see what he says.

sweet jeff…congrats!!!

explain!

very very nice! what kinda numbers does it run at the track?

It was nothing, just had to clean up the threads a little when it stripped. Probably got tight from the heat. Just yanking your chain.

13.77 before the heads/cam. Haven’t had it back yet, having problems with the 1-2 shift hitting the rev limiter. Hopefully a programming issue with the shift points and not a tranny problem.

wow…thats sweet. cant wait to see how it does this year

congrats jeff. just as you were trying to pull in i was leaving…haha i saw go back on the road and turn around cause you tried to go up the alley…

congrats jeff

nice numbers. which LE package is this LE1 or LE2?

Nice numbers…get that thing to the track and get a 12 sec slip now!!

It’s the LE1 cam with the LE2 heads. My numbers are a little lower than what’s possible. I’m assuming it’s because it’s an auto, I have 1 5/8" midlengths, and the tune may be holding back a few ponies. I’d love to put some long tubes on and see how it affects everything across the rpm range. This is always a big debate on the boards.

I’m still not convinced that long tubes would affect my 1/4 mile that much that I would be willing to give up my ground clearance and awesome plug access. (I threw that in for Pewter. ;))
