That is relatively cheap compared to Motor Trend’s estimated base .
This is it. The 2008 BMW M3. The car the BMW faithful have been waiting for. The 4.0-liter V-8 up front barks as the tach needle zings around the dial - 6000, 7000, 8000 rpm. I grab fourth just before the 8400 rpm redline - no, that's not a typo -...
and C&D’s
E46 looks better, IMO and the curb weight is crazy!! 3600+, yikes!!

If you put the e46 and e92 next to each other on a lot it’s amazing how dated the e46 looks. I felt the same as you till I saw them side by side.
Looks like its about $10k less than the RS4 and C63
I know it’s not an ///M… but with a few mods the e92’s have really grown on me already.

Hmm, much better than expected…

That is way cheap.
Speaking of VANOS; I just saw a M3 for sale with a new engine because the VANOS failed.
Anyone familiar with VANOS failure?
Common?
Brakes on the blue car are soo hot
So how much do you think the stealership will tack on to the price?
10K, but wait 3 months and you’ll get it sticker, another 6 months and maybe you can squeeze one for like low 50s stripped would be my guess.

There is more than one BMW dealer in the US I’m hoping there will be a euro car delivery deal, but usually not on M cars.

common? not really… but it happens… BMW covers it until 100k though
reviews of the new m3 are coming in saying it is kind of numb and disconnected like the 335 and is not as visceral or provides as much feedback as the e46
Sort of how you feel more connected in the e36 than you do in an e46, I am starting to see a trend here
^The same trend with most cars. (think Porsche 911)
I was at a BMW dealer in San Jose about eight years ago and they wanted $76000 for a M3 convertible.:cjerk:
AND that was after the Silicon Valley crash.
Side note: I just drove a G35X a couple minutes ago. NIIIIICE car.

i have driven both… the e46 with good suspension delivers more feedback then the e36, especially since i have sparco’s i feel alot more
