EAGLE - Made in USA?

So, while moving shit around the office here, I was tossing a box of EAGLE H-beam rods into their place, and noticed something really amusing.

In huge letters on the side of the box underneath a big angry looking eagle, it says

EAGLE SPECIALTY PRODUCTS
Memphis, TN

then in itty bitty little letters near the bottom

Made in China

So that made me check the other boxes lying around.

The Edelbrock box was the only one that actually said Made in the USA.

Ferrea had nothing, JE says “Printed in USA” but have an “International ISO rating”, which leads me to believe they were also manufactured somewhere else.

Maybe the boxes are made in USA :dunno:

here’s a visual comparison between Scat and Eagle rods…

those eagles are clearly not the company’ ESP h-beams…

I don’t know what the poster means by ‘theyre supposed to be h beams’…
Eagle sells actual h-beams that are, well, h-beams.

I can’t say which rod is better between scat and eagle because I really have no clue.

But I can say that that guy’s comparison is clearly biased… he is comparing an Eagle I-beam to SCAT H-beam. He also fails to mention that whenever Eagle uses 7/16th bolts, they use ARP2000 bolts rather than normal-grade 8740s.

Yes they are made in China… does that automatically mean they’re shit compared to another brand that is made in the USA? I dunno.

i would have to say yes as mass production is intended to keep costs down and when cost goes down generally so does quality.

plus you gotta love the shitty china metal.
