I agree. The car is well proportioned, although a little comical. I mean, if you were to make a Hotwheels car, and the theme was “hot rod Z3” this thing is perfect with hood scoop and side pipes.
I have always thought that a really good V6 is better suited for a Miata (lighter, sits behind front axle, better weight distribution). The 3.1 is not a really good V6.

The engine bay was setup for the KL V6 found in the probes but the 4 cylinder sold so well they never did it.
Which is a plus for guys wanting to cram a v8 in there.
