I threw on my JDM S14 Tein inner and outer tie rods onto an S13 with stock S13 LCA’s and stock everything else.
Went for a test drive, wheel was 90 degrees to the left just to go straight. Went back in to the alignment rack.
Hooked it all up, at MAX inner adjustment, with absolutely no more threads to turn inwards, the best TOE I could get was 2.10 degrees. That combined with 3.0 degrees of camber is bad fucking news.
Is it the tie rod issue? I need to get it back to a safe setting, right now in the wet, its SLIDING in a straight line. At 50kph, car is all over the place, deathtrap like.
I would rather not put stock ones back in as one is pretty beat up with a mangled boot as well.
I really don’t understand why though. I’ve run these on an s13 before. I did change the lca to an s14 one that time along with s14 tc rods. That worked great!!
All I know is that is fucked up and I CANNOT drive like this. Its ridiculously dangerous and I would love to figure this out. I’m headed to the track at 11am tomorrow.
If I have to put the stocl ones in, I will but that’s a huge pain in my arse.
Thanks!
