Egg Nog

It’s a necessity in my life. <3 it.

I tried the Egg Nog latte at Starbucks tonight.

It as ok, but not what I expected. There was only a hint of egg nog it seemed. Also, half the cup was foam. Overall, I was pretty disappointed.

I love cold eggnog with a lil rum…fyi don’t buy the liquor store premixtures off eggnog and alcohol they suck and have basically no liquor (just like any other premixed bottle for that matter)

I’ve never had it.

I’d imagine that if i were to try it, I’d have to have moose shaped mugs to drink it out of. All I can think about when it comes to egg nog is the timeless classic movie Christmas Vacation.

this thread motivated me to try it, bought just the Tops brand, Fuckin YUM! Has anyone ever tried blending a Banana in with it before? I immediately though "banana would make this awesome!

tops brand… nasty.

Pittsford Farms Dairy /end thread
Only available in Rochester, costs a lot, worth every cent. Their heavy cream is also incredible.

i got tops brand cuz i didnt know if id like it. Do they only sell the stuff around the holidays?

AHHH HOLY SHIT TIME FOR EGG NOG AND JINGLES!!! x346238497213048712

it’s OK, but can’t compare to legit E-nog

Rice Nog>Soy Nog

trust me on this one.

Captain & Nog = FTW

started this weekend… the Wegmans stuff is pretty decent, at least when mixed with Captain…

eww, fagnog

Just had my first glass of nog this season. Delish.

Late comer! :stuck_out_tongue: I cracked open a fresh bottle of 100 proof Captain Morgan and downed it with a 1/2 gallon of nog the weekend before thanksgiving.

I know. I’ve been depriving myself for no good reason.

Sooo good straight.

But now I’m vegan so it’s soy nog. For anyone doubting soy milk, try Soy West peppermint chocolate soy milk. I know people who aren’t vegan or vegitarian who drink it cause it’s so good.

.

man, i’ve read enough on the effects of soy and while I take everything with a grain of salt and I realize its in a lot of foods I eat, its more than enough to convince me to never create a diet around it.

It does help prevent some cancers, but you’re right, red meat is a much better thing to create a diet around. Heart attacks aren’t even viewed as that non-normative for men in their 40’s and 50’s. My dad had great cholesterol, blood pressure, was skinny and active and had a heart attack at 55.

I do acknowledge that soy causes problems though, you shouldn’t overconsume anything in your diet. Fresh fruits and vegetable are probably the only thing most people will never over consume, and they are hands down the healthiest thing for us.
