Well with my recent obsession with techno/electronic music, I want to try mixing my own. I am going to go look for a program to make some tracks, I was just seeing if there is a certain one I should get. Has anyone else tried this?

i used my friends mac for all our DJing gigs. i can ask him if he knows about other progs that work on PC’s

Don’t use software to actually do the beat matching. Do it by hand.
Explain. You mean like actual mix table?
All I want to do is screw around and make some electronic music. Not looking to do anything serious, or spend any money.

DJ’ing has come along way with digital taken over. There are programs out there that actually beat match the music and some people just dump it on top. Sure, it might be the same speed but the beats don’t align.
I used to use Ableton Live like every day on my home pc but then I got a mac and was too lazy to find a crack for the software again. I had the full version with all expansions. I still have all my work (20+ songs) on an external hard drive. The sampler was my favorite part. Most of my work is samples from old funk and disco with my own drum beats and synth rips. Not gonna lie though, it took me a solid month to figure the program out.
