Yeah you’ll be fun to try out for sure.

This. $6800 is nothing to even think about for many people. Many other toys cost much more and are less functional.

The same thing was said about the Honda civic…

The Elio is a better design but if Robin’s are being raced…

So you can have a passenger right? Like a fighter jet?

wow, I can’t believe they are racing robins. I used to see those all the time growing up in London in the 80s.

HAHAHAHAHA Thats awesome

Even the stig cant cant handle it

How much fun would this engine be!

The map shows Buffalo. Who is the dealer, Pepboys?

BTW, GEICO will not insure these. I get calls daily for them.

I think the Elio would be awesome to putts around in. As long as is comes in a 5 speed I will probably buy one.

Maybe not. They’re trying for an Autocycle classification:

An autocycle?

It’s a vehicle classification that most folks don’t give much thought, but 26 states have laws or are developing them, for three-wheeled, enclosed vehicles otherwise known as autocycles…

…Not surprisingly, the latest piece of legislation, initiated by Sen. David Vitter (R-La.)., and dubbed the Autocycle Safety Act would create a specific “autocycle” classification at the federal level. It would set guidelines for safety as well as Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards…

…Elio Motors isn’t the first company to develop a three-wheeled vehicle. There are plenty of options, including the Toyota i-Road, Tanom Motors Invader, Campagna T-Rex and the Polaris Slingshot, each sharing a similar set up to the Elio – two wheels UP front and one in the rear…

We’ll see if it happens. It might really help the development of these types of vehicles if there was clarity with the laws.

I read somewhere that the Polaris slingshot was having similar issues in Texas. It would be considered a motorcycle if it just didn’t have those pesky seats and seat belts. Make it a little more dangerous and it would be perfectly street legal.

I want one

You know the insurance companies will hike up the premiums for an autocycle versus a motorcycle

It’s not legal in TX or CT right now. We’ll see how the other states go. Trying to make time to get up to Weaver to drive their demo.

Still gay.

For that price, I’d rock one for the mpg. Xterra blows and the car ain’t any better.

Still rather ride a two-wheeled motorcycle.
