EMS - CPR - FML

I figured I would share my first call this AM with all of you. I hope you find humor in my misfortune today as I am still sitting in soiled pants…

Me and my partner responded to a cardiac arrest for an elderly person 90+yrs with Albany Fire Dept. The medic on scene instructed me to start CPR. I did what I was told and started compressions. About 2 min. in, the other medic leaned over to me and whispered in my ear. Good morning… You are kneeling in PEE" FML!
Then he told me “It’s okay, I did the same thing” LMAO

Ahahah

did they died :frowning:

haha my first call with the fire dept was day before christmas when i was 14. This guy was building something in his garage. He cut four fingers off on one hand with a table saw. After the EMS crew arrived i walked outside…at that point a trooper comes up and asks me to go back into the garage and help dig through the 3 ft pile of sawdust for fingers. :rofl

yea and cpr is usually absolutely disgusting one way or another. It may be my least favorite thing to do.:shifty

I definitely compromised some ribs… If you need to know. We usually dont start CPR on live people. LoL. They were in PEA so shockable but not worth it a 90+ years of age. Im just happy the family and REMO Doc agreed with us. 15min of compressions while the medic was on hold with St. Peter’s FTL

They dieded :(.
