So got a call by 2 of my VW/Audi freinds asking me to bring my Vag-com out so they could reset there cars, so I show up. reset them then were talking for a bit we decide to leave. a friend with a modded S4 follows me for a bit. he gets stuck at a light that I made I get on the hwy, a few sec on the hwy and he gos flying past I downshift and cetch up we line up then go I pull a car and he stays right there up to vary unsafe speeds. we then slow down get on to another highway trafic was too much so we decide to get off and becouse of are Vary noticable cars take backroads home. in an industrail park we cetch a light, nither of us wanting to hurt are trannys (his being the couse of his CEL) so we roll on the evo again jumps a car lead but it stays that way. till we run out of road.
Cliff notes EVO>S4 but not by much.

Yeah, I was shocked at how close it was. I thought you would pull greyhounds on me. When my tranny is fixed we should try again. Lots of fun though. :tup:
after what we talked about, i am really surprised you are racing your car…i know you have your warranty and stuff, but doesnt it kill you to be so long without your car?
sorry if i get annoying with all my advice, but if i would have had someone tell me this stuff when i was a noob with my s4, i would have been much happier. you dont know much about your car, you have no diag tools, afaik you barely know how to service your if a minor incedent occured out on the road. which is fine, i cant fault you for that, cuz thats how i learned some. and trust me, learning the hard way is no fun, so i got my ass to do some research and i am much happier…now if i could just get some time to put my car together
actually the weight and the power lose out normaly to a 6 speed car because the gearing of the evo (did they change it for the ix?) forces it to stay in the higher rpms which evo owners will tell you it usually falls on its face. s4 3rd gear is tall and with the tq ends up being a really sweet gear.
the s4 has k04s but runs stock programming. requested boost is the same but due to the bigger wheel iats end up being lower and you end up being slightly faster than stock. but this is also a tip with no vag mods and has trouble as it is.
The only reason I raced is because Mike(badnewsmini) used his Vag-Com and got my tranny working again, it did not last long but long enough to get a few runs in. I would not do anything to my car that I thought would even have a remote chance of hurting it. The last thing I want to do is be without my car for any length of time, but I have waited almost 5 months to drive it and want to have fun with it before winter. I do appreciate your input and am never annoyed by your advice, other than telling my to ditch the Tip and get a 6 Speed (because it is not realistically going to happen) believe be I would do it if I could.
Was there a call out I missed? LOL anyone wana dig race the AWD Auto:) . Can’t wait for the tranny to get fixed, stupid gear selector sensor (Transmission Range Sensor).
ya it has stock exhoust, intake very restrictive. I only have a few mods nothing that creats tons of power. Im trying to keep it as reliable as possible. (hahaha DSM thats reliable) Plus Im still learning the shift points, I bonced the rev limiter a few times already (it flys threw the revs unlike the mini/jetta with the 7500 redline). Im sure the car could be faster with a better driver. but thats the fun of a new car getting to know it.
also the S4 is pritty quik he also beat samsara. even for an auto Justin can drive that car.
YA it was broke last sunday. he was stuck in 3rd/4th not so good for racing. Ill bring the vag-com, when ever so I can clean up any problems before the run.
