Yeah that’s what i was thinking was .015, but i don’t want to get one that will still make it run too rich then have to buy another set, the jets are like $12.xx for a set of 4.
get a couple sets you will use them …or get a set of .013 and drill them if ya need to
what are the other k20 guys doing? did you try honda tech? those guys should know :nod
theres no avg when it comes to spray ya need to tune it to your car as every motor reacts diff
3 thousandths is alot when dealing with that though, but what is your target AFR on the spray, 11.5-12.0? if your deep in the 9s now, id rather put a jet in that might put it into a high 10-low 11.0:1 rather than going too small and going WOT and hitting 14+ and taking the chance at going too lean and melting something.
See that’s what i don’t know…I don’t know what AFR is good while WOT spraying. Should i be at 11.5:1 or around there?? or is that still too rich? I may just buy the .015 jets and see where i’m at, because that is 3 thousandths which is a lot like you said.
you would want to be in the high 11’s ball park.
are you going to be fine tuning with the EMS too?
I can’t justify spending $600 getting it tuned. I’m going to have to do the best i can tuning it with the EMS.
My guy in NYC does it for under $500…
Anyhow, piggyback for the win.
Under $500, which is how much?? i’d drive down there for a tune.
It’s not worth it given gas costs and toll costs.
Very true.
WORD.
Your willing to build a car…but not finish with a tune… thats like installing carpeting , and not vacuuming when done.
Thats a car that should be well into the 12’s.
I can’t afford a dyno tune right now, but i can tune it with the software and EMS as best i can.
if thats all ya can do then do it ill help ya if ya need it all of my cars ran spray but the one im on now and i just may do that on top if i need it
jammer what ya do wit your old setup?
i didnt mean have us do it but of course that would help, i thought you were doing it yourself. if you wire the nitrous button to an aux input on the k pro then you can add or take away fuel at the injectors as needed for the shot.
your guy in NYC tunes k pro for under 500? k pro has 24 complete fuel and ignition maps, 4 for each of the 6 angle settings available. compare that to your normal 2(1 fuel and 1 ignition), or 4(2 fuel 2 ignition for high cam/low cam) for basic vtec motors. not to mention you have to find the optimal cam angle as well at each rpm, and theres 2 more maps for that.
Not sure the specifics. I can find out though.
How many hours does it take to tune one of these? I assume you guys have starting maps and can fine tune from there.
