Hey guys, I have been purchasing a lot of parts for my engine for quite some time now to get it a few more steps closer to a reliable and fast street/track car. I just wanted to know expert opinion on how much the SR20det will make with the bolt-on’s and ECU Tune. What are other better options? I appreciate your replies in advance.

Hey Tim, nice progress… you’re going to need a stand alone with that setup. Go AEM or PFC then swing by toronto and see Dano @ U2NDyno. Should put you at about 320WHP with a niiiice power curve.
Don’t waste your time or money with an ECU tune… do it once, do it right.
Thanks guys, i’m still undecided on whether to get a standalone since I only have Macs at home and dont know jack about tuning, but for now I think i’ll get a ecu tune and once I get a GT30 or GT2871r then I’ll get a PFC or e-manage to go with it.
You will make more than 250whp with those mods even if its running on a ecu tune. I was making 242whp on the t25 at 12psi and oem ecu.
go with an aem or pfc like hurricane said…its only a matter of time before you ditch your ecu tune anyways so might aswell do it right from the start.
Get a standalone. Worth it in the long run. Keep your eyes peeled and you’ll find a good deal online. Hell a buddy of mine just scored an AEM EMS for $1k (regulars like $1600+)
There are many more threads like this online; this one just happened to be recent. Sure it probablly isn’t the ECU (or tune) that’s an issue but it sure is a bitch to diagnose :o
