EZCC Stratotech Day

Hi guys and gals of NECC.

Consider this an invite to the lapping day being hosted by the Edmonton Z-Car Club in conjunction with the Wild Rose Miata Club, Porsche Club of America - Polar Region, and Northern Alberta BMW Club at Stratotech Park on Saturday, October 11th.

Information can be seen here: http://forums.780tuners.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=87786

Stratotech Park consists of a paved nearly 1.8km long road course (nine turns) on the opposite side of the North Saskatchewan River from the city of Fort Saskatchewan (NE of Edmonton), located off Highway 825 (accessed via Highway 15 / Highway 37).

The lapping day on October 11 is weather dependent (the current long-range forecast is good) and we ran this same event last year on October 13 and had a great day (near 20C and sun). This is an all-day affair, running from 9am to 4:30pm.

Cars will be in run groups of 5-6 per group, with an instructor leading each group who is in radio contact with the tower. Five hot laps, preceded by a warm up and followed by a cool down are what you’ll get every time your group’s out on track. Last year during our October event (we ran one this year in June too) we had seven runs during the day, and this year is unlikely that we’ll have 36 drivers, so you’ll have more than enough fun.

C’mon out and enjoy what will likely be the last motorsports opportunity of 2008…

Damn I would love to go. But Im too poor for this event day.

Wow would of done this if I had more time.

Ya, sorry about the late notice, we normally fill up quickly but this time we’ve got tons of space.

Best of luck.

I am guessing you guys are running open track. What happens if your faster then the “instructor” in your group ?
